About me
I am a computational biologist and software engineer working at the forefront of Omics to bring new therapies to patients and investigate networks of communication within our cells and tissues.
Data Science for Drug Discovery and Development
I have worked extensively on drug development projects leading statistical investigation into mechanisms of action, toxicology, and clinical biomarkers. Much of my work has directly led to drug programs reaching major developmental milestones, including FDA filings.
This has given me the opportunity to work on a diverse range of indications, especially in oncology and immunology, and I am passionate about bridging Omics technolgies to reach deeper insights. No matter the question or technology used, I believe in digging deep into the medical literature and translating experimetal results into actionable and contextualized insights.
Scientific Software and Data Engineering
Laboratory automation and throughput is constantly improving and consequently increasing demand on our pipelines and data infrastructure to keep up. I meet this demand with automated pipelines in Snakemake, Nextflow, and Apache Airflow for reproducible and scalable data analysis.
Alongside this, I am invested in continuously making data more usable. As a full stack engineer, I work with scientific teams to indentify backend solutions that balance project timelines with analytical power. I then build out dashboard solutions (whether Rshiny, React, etc.) to make interaction with the data feel natural and empower decisions in the laboratory.
